    Why was Jackson’s excursion into Florida a very risky move for the United States?
    Excursion means to travel.
    This happened in the early 1800’s.
    I’m not cheating I am just wondering because it doesn’t say it in my text book and I love learning.

    Because, at that time, it was not part of the United States, and therefore was an invasion of a foreign country’s soil. It could have started another war.
